The Villa Park Recreation Center (320 E. Wildwood) will be closed for the entire day on Tuesday, April 7 due to work being completed at The Union Villa Park Development.
The facility will reopen during normal operating hours (5:30 am – 9:00 pm) the following day.

Join us on Saturday, July 4, 2026, as we celebrate Independence Day and America’s 250th Anniversary with this year’s theme, Stars, Stripes, and 250 Lights. The parade steps off at 10:00 am at Park Blvd. and Summit Ave., traveling a two-mile route through Villa Park before concluding back at the starting point. This milestone year marks 250 years of American independence, making it a special community celebration filled with patriotic spirit and hometown pride. Learn more and apply on our website.
Beginning Friday, May 1, all Village park restroom buildings and Prairie Path water fountains will officially open for the season. The Lufkin Park splash pad will also re-open.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the parks and take advantage of the refreshed facilities as the warmer weather arrives.
