Your voice matters! The Village of Villa Park invites you to help shape the future of our community. The results of this survey will guide the Village’s Strategic Planning process as we work to identify community priorities and update the Village’s Strategic Plan. The Village has hired CP2 Consulting to work with us, and they have developed this survey which can be completed in 6-8 minutes from your home, office, couch, or kitchen table. So, take a few minutes and help shape the next 3-5 years!

Possible questions…
Q: I thought we already filled out a survey for this plan?
A: The Village is developing a Comprehensive Plan to guide land use, development, transportation, and other public facilities for the next 15 -20 years, but this is a Strategic Plan. The purpose of the Strategic Plan is to guide the implementation of Village priorities over the next 3 – 5 years. The Strategic Plan is reviewed annually with major updates every three to five years. The goals of the Comprehensive Plan will be incorporated into this plan when it is complete, probably in next year’s review.

Q: Will There be other opportunities for public participation?
A: YES!! We are also looking for citizens to participate in focus groups to give more depth to this data. If you are interested in participating in these focus groups, please email pio@invillapark.com.

Q: Are my answers to this survey confidential?
A: Yes. They go directly to CP2 Consulting and are the property of CP2 therefore the individual answers are not subject to FOIA. The contract with CP2 was written this way at their direction to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Q: What happens next in the process?
A. The Village Board will meet and review public opinion and information from staff about Village finances and infrastructure needs, personnel needs, and the status of our fleet, equipment, and buildings. Then in late February they will meet again in an all-day session and develop the outline of the Strategic Plan. With the help of CP2, they will develop a document that will be ready in time to influence the 2025 budget process, with performance measures to see how we are progressing on the Plan.
